Lots of photos today to make up for yesterday….

Above: Wild creatures (including invertegrates such as butterflies) are startled by sudden movement. In this game, Eric is the wild creature. Every time he turns around, the campers are supposed to freeze. If Eric sees them moving, he sends them back to the start. How close can they get to Eric? We decided that this game was similar to what it’s actually like when you are trying to get close to a wild creature to observe it.
Above: A similar game, except this time Nachi is the wild creature, and she is listening for sounds rather than looking for movement. If she heard you sneaking up on her, she would point to you, and you had to go back to the start. Here again, we decided this game was similar to what it’s like when you’re really trying to get close to a wild creature to observe it — you can’t make even the slightest sound.
