Welcome, campers!

This email was sent out to all registered campers:

In less than a week, we’ll be starting EcoJustice Camp — yay! Below is some information about the camp for you and your child/ren.

(1) Schedule for the week:
Monday: at UUCPA, 505 E. Charleston Rd., Palo Alto, all day
Tuesday: all-day field trip to Pescadero State Beach
Wednesday: afternoon field trip to Foothills Park in Palo Alto
Wednesday night: overnight in Foothills Park
Thursday: all day field trip to Purisima Creek Redwoods in Half Moon Bay (plenty of shade, nice and relaxed)
Friday: morning field trip to 4H barn in Cupertino to see goats and pigs (campers may opt out), rest of the day on site

(2) What to bring — this is an outdoor-oriented camp, so:
Campers should be sure to bring a backpack or bag with —
sunscreen
change of clothes
a towel (esp. important for beach field trip and redwoods field trip)
water bottle
special snack food if allergies
sweatshirt or something warm (just in case)
Campers should be sure to wear —
clothes that can get dirty
a hat (for sun)
closed-toe shoes (no Crocs or flip-flops, please)

(3) Overnight:
We were able to get a campsite at Foothills Park, right in Palo Alto. Since Foothills Park is convenient (in case a camper wants to be picked up early), we decided to have all campers camp at Foothills Park, including the younger ones.

(4) Ecojustice Camp Outdoors Book
We have mailed a book to your camper — the Ecojustice Camp Outdoors Book, a fun introduction to the kinds of things we’ll be doing at camp. It should arrive via U.S. mails on Saturday or before. ***If your book does not come in time, don’t worry! We have extra copies, and you can either drop by on Sunday (when I’ll be doing camp set-up), or get a copy on the first day of camp.
